Thread rolling and tapping is offered for all screw-machined plus turned components. Our Landis lead screw tappers provide chipless, fast threading/tapping operations with considerable material saving. Threads with diameters up to 1-9/16″ can be rolled on our thread rolling machines. We produce strong, fatigue resistant threads on materials such as 300 & 400 series of stainless steel, inconel, and aluminum. With the Reed O.D. thread rolling machine, we perform both infeed and throughfeed rolling operations. Threads with surface finishes of up to 32 micro inches can be produced on cylindrical blanks.
Internal threads can be tapped in nuts, studding connectors, and bolts made from any high-temperature or corrosion resistant alloy. Tools used in our machines operate at reduced torque and produce fewer burrs. This provides greater life to the tapped hole. Accu-Tap II machines allow us to chamfer, deburr, and countersink holes as well.
